Sounds ideal, Brian. And now I can't wait to hear more about this sketchbook you've been reunited with. Roman and I participated in an Oulipo event here in San Francisco way back in (checks blog) 2013. Very talented individual.
A wonderful account, and glad to be a part of your London Collage Project experience. One day, people will be recreating photos of us drinking IPA at Barge East. Ha!
Good question, Cecil. There were a number of people kind of gathered around the intersection, waiting for breaks in the traffic to run out onto the crosswalk as a friend, or a stranger, shoots the photo. One such person was an American girl, probably 19 years old, with a Beatles t-shirt, taking pictures of a person who, clearly her mother, was much more restrained and anxious about running out into traffic for a photo. After her mother returned to safety, I kind of caught the girl's attention, holding up my phone. She laughed and took it, and as I walked into the crosswalk she walked out into the street about 20 feet in front of me, snapping photos the whole time.
As she returned my phone to me, she said "YOLO, right!?"

The sketchbook will be my next issue here.

A graphic novel about the people who’ve lived and died in your house would be pretty awesome. Wonder who could write that…
Richard McGuire did something like that. https://www.richard-mcguire.com/new-page-4
Well this is beautiful. But yours could be too. :)
Great article Brian. It was quite a ride. I really enjoyed our time together and with Joel and Sasha as you mentioned. First in, last out.
By the way, who took the photo of you crossing Abbey Road? There has to be a little story there.
